Philips Air Purifiers 2000
Philips is Singapore’s trusted brand in providing affordable quality for the home and office.
The 2000 series air purifier range continues in this tradition.
Smart Air Quality Sensor
The Philips 2000 series come with a smart PM2.5 (Particulate Matter 2.5, i.e. dust that’s 2.5/1,000th of 1 mm) air quality sensor. Blue light means healthy air, purple means fair, and red is unhealthy.
This sensor allows the Philips air purifier to adjust the fan speed to keep the family protected while maximizing filter life.
The Healthy Air Protect alert feature gives a timely warning when it’s time to replace the filter. If the filter is not replaced after a time, it will auto-lock so as not give a false assurance of healthy air, as well as to protect the motor.
The Philips 2000 series does not use ionising technology, so no ozone is generated. It also does not generate hydroxyl radicals (OH Radicals).
Philips Air Purifiers’ first line of defence is the pre-filter which removes all the larger particles that would otherwise clog up the main filters.
This pre-filter is washable, thus keeping filter costs affordable.
Enhanced Activated Carbon
This filter removes odours (like smoke smell) and various VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds, like glue during renovation).
The activated carbon is enhanced with a special coating to absorb formaldehyde. The thick carbon granules contain micro-pores with a combined surface area equivalent to 17 football fields – a lot more than common carbon prefilters.
The Philips HEPA filter can filter dust, germs, mould as well as ultra-fine particles (UFP) as small as 0.02 micron, including germs like the H1N1 virus.
According to WHO publications, the avian flu virus, human flu virus, and Legionella bacterium are all larger than 0.02 micron.
